Is The Web Fool Of Money?

No I did not make a mistake in my title. Not only do I get this question asked frequently, but I too think about it often. Is there so much money on the web that all one has to do is put up a half baked website and expect to become rich overnight?

Far from the truth; there are con artists out there that will take your money as quickly as you make it or even before you make it. Claims of how you can make $400/day and thousands every month, give up your day job in 3 months and the hype goes on and on. The one way of making lots of money is to do what they do; make a big hype and find suckers like me to pay you $19.99 for some crap scheme and teach me to do the same to the next person who does it to the next person and so on; just like a pyramid scheme, which makes money for the guy who starts it and a few of the early joiners; the rest just lose their money and in many cases a lot more then just $19.99.

In any event I say stay away from anything that looks, sounds, seems, smells too good to be true, especially in the current tough economic situation. We all feel the crunch and need to make a few extra pesos to keep going, but DON’T fall for that scheme. Don’t give away your hard earned money. Be patient, study business opportunities and when something right feels or comes your way then build it slowly. Hey what happened here, is this a philosophy lesson or are we at LearnWeb101 Blog?

Are there ways to make money on the Web? Yes, I say emphatically, but it is not as easy as it may appear. Like anything else with the right idea and more importantly the right approach and determination you too can have a successful website or online business. So what are some of the best ways to make money using the internet? One of the best ideas I can give is to create site or sites of subjects that interest you the most. For instance your hobby can be a great website idea; if you were into model airplanes and it was your greatest passion in life then what would be better then starting a site on the subject. With all that passion and love for your hobby I bet you could right a whole book on the subject, so why not create a site and exchange ideas with others and make a little cash from it. It is always a lot easier to write about things you know and care about then try to wing something that does not interest you.

An e-commerce store is another way to generate income. Perhaps you have a hobby of making very special necklaces, using this creative hobby you can start an online business. One great way is to start and sell on Ebay or such sites before even having your own online store. It is a great way to get started without having to spend too much money. It is very little risk and a great way to learn and understand online selling, plus it gives you feedback on how well your product(s) is being received.

Using AdSense, Affiliate Marketing, Creating a Niche Website for services like SEO tools, directories, coupon sites etc are some of many ways one can build and make a side income. In the near future I will list some of my ideas that can perhaps be turned in to a part time business for those that are interested. In the meant time I need to go and do some more research. So remember be patient, start an idea and give it all you have; build it, grow it and see it flourish.

Over the next little while, I will try to be a little more detailed on some of the internet businesses that look like good ideas. These are just my observations and feedback, success always depends on the person taking up the challenge.
